3DClouds has unveiled AfterZero: The Last Drive, a single-player survival adventure planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2027. The studio behind Formula Legends and Xenon Racer presented the new game at the October 15 Galaxies showcase.
Instead of racing to a finish line, the proposal is to keep an off-road vehicle working in a world caught in an endless winter. The developer’s own announcement describes scavenging, upgrades and helping other survivors as central parts of that journey.
The people waiting for the return trip
The camp called Firewall gives the driving a purpose beyond reaching another map marker. Survivors need food, medicine and heat, while an old locomotive needs repairs. An expedition has to bring something useful back.
That sets up the most interesting question in the announcement: how far to push a trip when the camp needs supplies but the vehicle still has to get home. Weather, dwindling resources and the route back could matter as much as what is waiting at the destination.

A vehicle built for more than speed
The publisher-supplied feature outline names the vehicle Old Grizzly and a companion drone T3DDY. Tools such as a grappling hook and EMP expand what the vehicle can do, with exploration and puzzles alongside the survival systems.
The announced locations include abandoned cities, frozen lakes and mountain forests. These are ingredients of the planned game, rather than evidence of how large or seamless the finished world will be. There is no exact launch day in the confirmed 2027 plan.
