Dylan faces enemies on a distorted city street in Control Resonant

Control Resonant has passed one million copies sold worldwide, Remedy announced on October 15. The studio describes it as the fastest-selling game in its history. That is Remedy’s reported milestone on that date, rather than a live sales counter.

For physical buyers, the same day brought the more immediately practical announcement: Standard and SteelBook editions are available worldwide for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The two announcements answer different questions, so it is worth keeping the sales headline and the edition details straight.

What each physical edition includes

Remedy’s physical-release announcement lists the Standard edition with the base game. The SteelBook edition adds the collectible case, three fine-art prints and a key-art poster, alongside the base game.

The listed extras are physical collectibles. Decide whether those are things you want to keep, display or collect before treating the larger package as the obvious choice. A steel case has many uses, but explaining an impulse purchase to your shelf is apparently not one of them.

The physical announcement specifically names PS5 and Xbox Series X. Remedy separately lists the digital game for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and Epic. Match the format to the machine you actually own, especially when a broader platform-family name appears in a sales headline.

Dylan’s story is already underway

The digital launch was September 24. Remedy’s description places Dylan Faden in a reality-warped Manhattan, using supernatural powers and a transforming melee weapon called the Aberrant while searching for Jesse Faden. Physical availability therefore follows the digital launch rather than marking the game’s first release.

The studio also says a Mac version is planned for later in 2026. That remains a release window in the announcements checked here. The October 15 physical news does not supply a more precise Mac date.

The million-copy figure tells us the scale of the reported launch response. It does not establish a platform breakdown, profits or a future support schedule. For somebody choosing an edition, the concrete change is simpler: there is now a physical option on the two named console formats.
