Sony has put a date and a price on its next standard Pulse headset. In an October 21 update, PlayStation confirmed that the PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset launches November 19, 2026 in selected markets, including the United States, for a recommended $99.99.
White and Midnight Black versions are included. U.S. orders through PlayStation Direct open October 29 at 7 AM Pacific, 8 AM Mountain. The update also says participating retailers will take pre-orders. Availability and ordering arrangements depend on country, so the U.S. timing should not be applied to every regional storefront.
Pulse arrives first; Edge follows later
This is the next launch detail for a lineup Sony originally introduced in September. The standard Pulse is the November release. Pulse Edge remains a separate model arriving next year, with further updates still to come. Today's news does not give both headsets the same date or the same price.
That distinction matters because the names are close enough to create an impressively expensive shopping mistake. A feature shown beside the Edge name is not automatically included with the $99.99 model.

What the standard model is built around
Sony's product page describes planar magnetic drivers, an integrated microphone with AI-assisted noise rejection, and earcups that rotate flat. It also explains simultaneous Bluetooth and PlayStation Link connectivity: for example, phone audio alongside game audio from a supported Link device.
The practical attraction is fewer interruptions when your gaming setup includes more than one device. The questions a spec sheet cannot settle are the ones you live with: comfort through a long session, the controls under your fingers, and how that microphone handles your actual room.
Know which kind of noise reduction you want
Microphone noise rejection aims to reduce unwanted sound in what other people hear from you. Active noise cancellation aims to reduce outside sound reaching your ears. They solve different problems.
Sony lists active noise cancellation for Pulse Edge, alongside a detachable boom microphone and a carrying case. The standard headset's microphone noise rejection should not be confused with that Edge listening feature.

Before the pre-order window opens
Start with the setup you actually use. A headset for a quiet desk has a different job from one used beside a loud television. Comfort with glasses, the position of the controls and how the microphone handles your room can matter more than the longest specification list.
Then consider whether you need the standard model's announced features or want to wait for more information about Edge. There is no need to turn a November release date into a deadline for replacing a working headset.
Zypher XP has not tested this headset. If it is on your holiday shortlist, check the exact regional listing and included items when pre-orders open. A good-looking render has never told anyone whether a headset will annoy them after two hours.
Give that setup something to play
The headset is only part of the setup. Shop video games at Zypher Trading Video Games for your next pickup, and check the platform and available condition options before ordering.
