Xbox Game Pass has three dates worth circling this week, but October 15 is the one most likely to catch a player off guard. Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis arrive on October 13, Bluey’s Happy Snaps follows on October 15, and nine games leave the library that same day.
This is not a roundup of every small addition. It is the practical version of Xbox’s October 7 announcement: what is changing for recognizable games, which plan Xbox names, and what you may want to finish or buy before access disappears.

Xbox labels Valor Mortis and Bluey’s Happy Snaps as day-one additions. Battlefield 6 is joining the library rather than launching for the first time on October 13. That distinction matters if you are reading “coming to Game Pass” as “new release.”
Battlefield 6 comes through EA Play
Xbox says Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play, which is the route bringing Battlefield 6 into this wave. PC Game Pass is also listed. Xbox’s notice includes recurring EA Play benefits and an EA digital-purchase discount, but those extras should not be mistaken for ownership of the game.
If Battlefield is the only reason you are looking at the service, check the exact plan on your account before installing. The announcement does not list Game Pass Premium or Essential for Battlefield 6.
Valor Mortis is the day-one wild card
Valor Mortis is a single-player first-person action RPG from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner. Xbox lists cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC access through Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 13.

Nine games leave October 15
Xbox lists the following departures for cloud, console and PC unless noted otherwise:

- Nova Roma, Game Preview on PC
- Pacific Drive
- Superball
- The Casting of Frank Stone
A subscription save does not become a permanent license when a game leaves. If you are halfway through A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur or The Casting of Frank Stone, October 15 is the real deadline in this announcement. Buying a departing game is the ownership route if you want to keep playing after removal.
What is already available

The useful takeaway
The strongest part of this wave is choice rather than sheer quantity: Battlefield 6 for a large-scale shooter, Valor Mortis for a new first-person action RPG, and Bluey for local two-player family play. The less glamorous but more urgent job is checking the leaving list before October 15. Subscription libraries are convenient, but they still run on a calendar.
