Battlefield 4 combines a military single-player campaign with the larger online battles introduced for PS4. You play Sergeant Daniel Recker in the campaign, working with the Tombstone squad as a crisis draws the United States, China, and Russia into conflict.
Campaign Combat & Replay
Use the Tactical Visor to mark enemies and identify useful objects, then direct squadmates with the Engage command. Weapon Crates refill ammunition and let you revisit acquired weapons. Campaign assignments unlock more weapons, while mission scores and three difficulty levels provide reasons to replay completed operations.
PS4 Multiplayer Features
The PS4 release was built for battles with up to 64 players, alongside Commander Mode and Levolution events that can alter a map during combat. Infantry, land vehicles, aircraft, and boats contribute to the game's combined-arms approach. The PS4 edition also supports DualShock 4 controls for peeking and leaning from cover.
Platform & Online Requirements
This listing is the physical PlayStation 4 edition, separate from the older PS3 release. Online play depends on available game services, an internet connection, and the console's applicable account and subscription requirements.
