Need for Speed: Underground 2
About the Game
Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a single-player and multiplayer street racing game. The game places players into the underground world of nighttime tuner culture.
Gameplay & Core Systems
After rising through local races and gaining street cred, players is invited to the “City of Metro” - a sprawling open-city environment where free-roam driving, exploration and racing meet. The objective is to advance through the Underground Racing League by winning events, building reputation and upgrading players’s car until it becomes one of the top tuned machines in the city. In the open-city sandbox of Metro players can drive at will, discover hidden race challenges, engage random rival racers, or head to designated race hubs. A major part of the experience is several race modes including Sprint, Circuit, Drag and Drift events, each testing different aspects of players’s car build and driver skill. Progression also involves improving your car’s performance statistics (acceleration, top speed and handling) so that tougher opponents and higher-stakes events can be tackled.
