SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis is a game starring SpongeBob and friends. The game is based on the television movie of the same name. The game starts with SpongeBob and the gang trying to escape Atlantis when they encounter Plankton in his newly acquired Atlantean tank. The game continues with you taking control of the characters and letting you play through the events preceding this moment.

The gameplay differs each level. In the first level you take control of Plankton and his stolen tank that can fire its ice cream cannon at the Atlantean defenders. SpongeBob and Patrick are trapped in a cave in the second level and have to work together to get out. In the third level SpongeBob has to make photographs in a Museum while throwing Crabby patties at people that are in the way for the picture. The gang travels by buss in the fourth level and you have to hit buttons on the right moment in order to keep the buss fueled to many mistakes will make the buss run out of gas.

In the fifth level you have to drive the buss to the palace and collect parts for repairs underway. You are given a tour by the King of Atlantis in the sixed level. You have guide everyone safely to the end of the tour by hitting buttons on the right moment in order to avoid traps. In the seventh level mr. Crab and sandy are off to collect treasure from the treasure room. Sandy has to fire a gun at the gems mr. Crab throws. This ears you points, three the same will earn bonus points. In the eleventh level Plankton has to sneak in to the armory. You have to hit buttons on the right moment in order to not raise the security alarm. While using Squidward as a gun in the twelfth level Sandy has to fire at the Atlantean guards. Level thirteen lets you once again take control of Plankton and his tank. In level fourteenth you take control of an Atlantean soldier who is tasked with disposing off the amulet that brought the gang to Atlantis by hitting buttons on the right moment while the credits role.
