About the Game

Long ago in the kingdom of Hyrule, an evil sorcerer began kidnapping young maidens. This sorcerer was known as Vaati, and it seemed that no one could stop him. Eventually, an adventurer appeared who carried with him the Four Sword, allowing him to split into four versions of himself. By working together, those four beings were able to defeat Vaati and seal him deep within the earth.

Gameplay & Core Systems

There are a variety of often maze-like lands to explore (some above ground and others below) as well as many different enemies to defeat. To complete the various stages, the four Links will often need to work together in order to solve puzzles and defeat the many enemies. At the beginning of each stage, the Four Sword is weak in power and needs to be replenished by collecting force gems that can be found hidden in various locations or dropped from defeated enemies. At the end of each stage is a dark magic barrier, which can only be dispelled by the Four Sword at full power. While the game can be played by one to four players, there is always four playable Links on the screen.
