Analogue has announced the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+, refreshed cartridge consoles for Super Nintendo/Super Famicom and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive libraries. The October 16 announcement brings the two hardware families back with built-in wireless support and revised connections.

Preorders are scheduled to open October 19, 2026 at 8 a.m. Pacific, or 9 a.m. Mountain. Analogue lists December 2026 shipping for both the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+. A shipping plan is different from a console being available to take home today.

Wireless support becomes part of the console

The new models incorporate Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless controller support while retaining their respective original-style controller ports. Both use FPGA-based hardware and offer 1080p HDMI output, according to Analogue’s specifications.

The older setups photographed here show wireless receivers attached to the original consoles. Bringing wireless support into the new machines changes that part of the arrangement. It still makes sense to check the supported controller list for the exact pad you own, rather than assume that every wireless controller will connect.

The USB sockets have specific jobs

Analogue lists USB-C for power and USB-A for DAC support and controller charging. Its product guidance says the USB-A connection does not provide wired USB controller input. That is a useful detail to catch before matching a favorite pad to a new console.

For a cartridge collection, the practical appeal is another hardware option for returning to the games already on the shelf. The decision still includes your controller, display and exact cartridge library. The announcement alone is not a test of every game or accessory.
