The Blood of Dawnwalker has another substantial update on the way, with a skill-reset option among the announced changes. Rebel Wolves dated its Update 1.1 announcement October 16 and said it was planned for the following week. There is no exact launch day in that announcement, so this is a preview of the update, not a claim that the new options are already available.

A different build need not mean another beginning
Push Square’s October 16 report describes a new Draught of Mind Rebirth item for resetting Swordmastery, Witchcraft and Vampirism abilities and reallocating the time invested in learning them.
If a build no longer suits you, that could make experimenting with abilities less of a commitment.

Read the difficulty label again
Push Square also reports that the existing Story difficulty will become Forgiving, while a new Story setting adds combat assistance. Its coverage lists animal petting among the additions. These are reported plans, not features Zypher XP has tested.
The renamed setting matters more than it first appears: after the update, a familiar label may no longer describe the same option. Read the description rather than choosing by name alone. A reset item and an easier setting also answer separate questions: changing a build is not the same as changing combat assistance.

The adventure underneath the patch
For anyone meeting the game through this announcement, Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves describe an open-world action RPG set in Vale Sangora, a fictional region in the Carpathian Mountains. Its protagonist, Coen, is human during the day and a vampire at night. That contrast is part of the adventure's premise, not a feature being introduced by Update 1.1.
The publisher's September 3 launch announcement identifies PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. The supplied screenshots used here are launch-period images. They illustrate the existing game and should not be read as before-and-after evidence for the forthcoming patch.
Check the installed version before making plans
If the reset option is your reason to return, check the version installed on your platform and the eventual release notes first. A preview is not an instruction to delete a character, overwrite a save or assume that a particular problem has been fixed. There is room to be interested without turning an announced change into a result nobody has verified yet.
