Pearl Abyss has added a market availability warning to Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC notice. The October 12 revision says the expansion will be unavailable in certain markets or regions after a review of content and age rating requirements. The publisher has not named those territories in the notice.

Preorders will close in affected regions. Pearl Abyss says refunds may happen automatically or require a request through the relevant platform’s normal process. That makes this an account and storefront check for existing buyers, rather than a reason to assume every preorder has been cancelled.

What changed this week

The regional restriction is the new development. The same notice still lists October 29 at 22:00 UTC, or 3 p.m. Pacific and 6 p.m. Eastern, with October 30 in Korea and Japan. Those launch times were revised on September 30. This week’s update does not establish a fresh delay.

The notice also says the DLC will not be on the Mac App Store at launch. Pearl Abyss promises a separate announcement if a future Mac release is planned; it does not give a date.

Check the purchase you actually made

For a preorder holder, the useful next step is to open the order history on the platform that took payment. Check whether the transaction remains active, whether a cancellation appears, and whether any refund notification has arrived. A missing public store page alone does not establish the status of an individual order.

Keep the receipt and any cancellation message together. If the order remains active while your storefront says the expansion is unavailable, contact that platform with the order reference and the publisher’s notice. That gives support a concrete transaction to examine without guessing which regional rule applies.

Players considering a purchase should check the listing attached to their own account before paying. An announcement read in another territory can explain the game’s release plan while leaving local availability unresolved. Avoid using a different region’s screenshot as confirmation that your account can buy or access the DLC.

The missing detail is the territory list

An unnamed restriction leaves a basic question open: who is affected? Zypher XP will need an explicit publisher or platform list before attaching country names to this story. Until then, readers can verify their own orders, but neither a global cancellation claim nor a guessed country list would be supported.
