inZOI now supports Lua script mods, opening another route for players to change its life simulation. The feature is part of the October 15, 2026 update, alongside support for custom graphics filters. Krafton also used this week’s showcase materials to outline a December DLC and its plans for the game’s full launch next year.
Creative tools gain a scripting layer
The official v0.11.0 notes describe a Lua editor inside the ModKit that applies written scripts to mods. Custom filters can also become selectable within the game. For creators, that makes the update more consequential than another batch of clothes or furniture.
A character editor lets you decide how someone looks. Scripting raises a different question: what can a creation do? The distinction is why this addition deserves attention, even for players who would rather install someone else’s work than write their own code.
In an October 16 follow-up, producer kjun said script mods had arrived ahead of December. He also discussed continuing work on mod management and compatibility. Those comments matter when choosing what to install: a new toolset does not mean that every community creation will remain compatible with every future update.
December DLC is planned, while Early Access continues
Krafton’s Galaxies showcase fact sheet says another DLC, themed around the pursuit of fame, is planned for December. The publisher says it will be free until the official launch next year. That is a stated launch window and offer period; the sheet gives no exact full-release day or promise that every future expansion will be free.
The current Steam listing still identifies inZOI as an Early Access game. Players should judge the version available now, while treating the December content and full release as plans.
