Usual June is adding an Xbox Series version and a Microsoft Store PC release alongside Steam. Sal Romano’s October 16 report for Gematsu attributes the expanded platform announcement to developer Finji.
The current official game site confirms January 20, 2027 as the release date. That timing was already established before the new Xbox announcement; older posts advertising October 28 describe the superseded plan.
Getting answers from people who are already dead
June’s ability to talk to ghosts is the heart of the adventure’s mystery. Something is threatening Fen Harbor, and both its living residents and its dead have parts of the answer. The ghosts can remember events the living missed, while June and her friends can act on that information.
That is a promising reason to make conversations matter alongside combat. The question is whether learning about a place changes how a player reads it on the next visit, rather than simply filling a journal with more names.

Dodging feeds the next attack
Finji describes melee attacks, parries, dodge cancels and super moves. Successful dodges refill June’s super meter, and Charms let players change their loadout. The developer also lists leveling and new combat abilities as the adventure progresses.
Refilling a resource by avoiding a hit creates a useful tension between retreating and staying involved. Its feel will depend on timing and enemy behaviour in the finished game; the announcement does not amount to a hands-on assessment.
