Crash: Mind over Mutant for Nintendo DS is a 3D platform game played from side view perspective, starring Crash Bandicoot. The main villain Dr Neo Cortex has invented a brainwashing helmet to control all creatures on Wumpa island. Both Coco and Crunch Bandicoot get brainwashed by such a device.
In the game the player takes control of Crash and has the ability to jump and fight. Besides regular enemies there are also mutant bosses. If Crash beats a mutant he can take control of it and use it to his advantage. Besides the Adventure mode there is also a Minigame mode and Mutant fight mode.
For the PlayStation 2, Wii, PSP and Xbox 360, a different 3D game was released.
