The Nintendo Switch version of The Wolf Among Us Remastered has moved out of its October 29 release date. In an October 16 statement reproduced by Gematsu, Telltale said Switch would follow later and that a new date would be shared when available.
The same statement retains October 29 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. That makes this a platform-specific change. If you are waiting for the Switch version, the useful calendar entry is now “date to be announced.” Fabletown’s paperwork was never likely to be straightforward.
The release plan depends on the version
Telltale says it is taking additional time to deliver the experience it wants Nintendo players to receive. The statement does not identify a specific technical fault, and it does not provide a replacement day. There is no supported reason to turn that explanation into a diagnosis of the port.
The current Steam page independently continues to list October 29 for PC. General publisher pages that still group platforms beneath October 29 should be read alongside the newer Switch-specific statement.

What is being remastered
This release revisits Bigby Wolf’s first case across all five episodes. Telltale describes improved presentation and a black-and-white Noir Mode that can be toggled during play, alongside bonus material about the original production.
For somebody approaching it for the first time, the premise remains an investigation in Fabletown, where figures from folklore live hidden among humans. Telltale’s description emphasizes questioning suspects, examining crime scenes and making decisions that affect relationships.
The immediate decision is whether your preferred platform outweighs the wait. The Switch delay offers no new date to compare against October 29 yet. Checking the exact platform before making plans is more useful than treating the remaster as one simultaneous release.
The game is also a named highlight in our October 20 ID@Xbox Showcase coverage. For another separately dated narrative release, see ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut on Switch 2 and PS5.
