BurgerTime
About the Game
BurgerTime is a fixed-screen platform game in which players controls chef Peter Pepper as he assembles several oversized hamburgers. Each kitchen consists of platforms and ladders covered by layers of buns, patties, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. The objective is to drop every ingredient onto the plates at the bottom of the screen. Each ingredient is divided into several sections.
Gameplay & Core Systems
Enemies standing on an ingredient when it falls are carried downward and may cause it to drop additional levels, while enemies caught underneath are crushed. One or two players can participate, with two players alternating turns. The BREW and J2ME versions adapt the game for mobile-phone displays and keypad controls. BurgerTime's design subsequently inspired numerous close imitations, including Barmy Burgers , Burger Builder , and the burger-building portion of Mr. Wimpy: The Hamburger Game .
Standout Features
- Peter carries a limited supply of pepper that can be thrown a short distance in the direction he faces, temporarily stunning nearby enemies and allowing him to pass through them safely.
Modes & Ways to Play
The Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 Arcade Archives releases reproduce the original arcade version while adding configurable difficulty and display settings, temporary save functionality, and online score rankings.
Player support includes Hot Seat and 1-2 Players.
