Help Rapunzel reach the Festival of Lights
Disney Tangled for Nintendo DS turns the film's journey into a side-view adventure built around short tasks, exploration and mini-games. Rapunzel travels with her companion toward the Festival of Lights while helping familiar characters along the way. A book in Rapunzel's room serves as the chapter selector, so completed parts of the journey can be revisited without navigating a separate world map.

The adventure regularly shifts into smaller activities. These include coloring pictures, caring for animal friends, memory challenges, jigsaw puzzles, matching puzzles and collecting bees. DS-specific microphone interaction
Some obstacles use the Nintendo DS microphone. Blowing into the microphone clears objects from Rapunzel's path, and the sensitivity can be adjusted in the Options menu. Together with stylus-driven collecting and conversation, this gives the portable release interactions designed specifically for the DS hardware instead of treating it as a direct copy of another platform's controls.
Progression and replay
Progress comes from finishing character tasks and moving through the chapters toward the Festival of Lights. Collectibles and replayable chapters support revisiting earlier scenes, while the mini-games break up the main route with different rules and inputs.
