Take the 2012 MLB season to Wii
Major League Baseball 2K12 puts official MLB clubs and players into a motion-controlled baseball simulation built around complete games and shorter specialty modes. Pitching, batting, baserunning and fielding are all handled directly rather than reduced to menu decisions, while the range of modes lets a player choose between one matchup, a season-long commitment or a quick local contest.
Pitch and hit with Wii gestures
The Wii Remote and Nunchuk combine pointer, stick, button and motion inputs. Batters time a physical swing, can bunt or hold for a power-swing approach, and control runners after the ball is in play. On the mound, players select a pitch, aim the cursor, begin the windup and flick forward to deliver. Fielding includes manual movement, fielder switching, sprinting, diving, wall climbs, cutoff throws and a Smart Throw gesture.
Build a season or manage a franchise
Quick Game starts a matchup immediately, while Situation mode drops play into a chosen scenario. Season and Franchise stretch decisions across a schedule, with Franchise adding the front-office side of the sport. Tournament skips directly to bracket-style competition. A built-in training area teaches the control scheme through exercises before players commit to a longer mode.
Home runs and four-player Mini Diamond
Home Run Derby focuses on timing long balls with the Wii Remote. Mini Diamond supports the player plus up to three friends on compact, unconventional fields, turning baseball into faster local multiplayer. The accepted Wii record supports one to four offline players. This version does not include online competition or roster downloads, so its team data remains the release-era 2012 snapshot.
Broadcast feel and exact Wii release
Crowd ambience, stadium sound and commentary from Gary Thorne, Steve Phillips and John Kruk frame the games in a television-style presentation. This listing is the North American Wii release dated March 6, 2012, published under 2K Sports, with UPC 710425441165. The exact Wii disc supports Wii Remote and Nunchuk controls.
