About the Game
Major League Baseball 2K6 is an update of its previous years version , featuring the obligatory roster updates as well as a three-year report of all the teams and players in the game. It also featured a brand new movement system as well as realistic player crashes and a morale system, where the better players is, the better their teammates will perform as well. It has the standard, exhibition and season modes, as well as a new feature letting players take on the role of an international team in the World Baseball Classic as one of 16 international baseball teams in a tournament-style play.
Gameplay & Core Systems
Players can also challenge umpires if they feel a call has been botched; this can also affect the team's morale, for better or worse depending on the outcome. There is also online capabilities for each console version with the ability to download a friend's profile using the V.I.P. (Virtual Identity Profile) to look at the stats and results of their own games, in order to gain the upper hand against them in online matches.

Player support includes Same/Split-Screen and Free-for-all / One-on-one (VS).
Presentation & Atmosphere
It also featured TV broadcast "flashback replays", giving it the feel of a real TV presentation as well as being commented on by Jon Miller and the legendary Joe Morgan. The Xbox 360 version was virtually the same as the previous generations', saved for graphics and some extra dialogue and commentary.
Audio support includes Dolby Pro Logic II.
