One Wheel, 24 Arcade Challenges
Turn It Around gathers 24 minigames around one shared idea: rotate an onscreen wheel to make the action happen. The Nintendo DS touch screen becomes a dial for challenges built around speed, technique and power, with familiar arcade names such as Arkanoid and Elevator Action alongside Safe Cracker and other short activities.
Match the Spin to the Task
Use the stylus to move the wheel while the game action appears on the upper screen. Some activities call for small, precise adjustments; others ask for faster circles. A fishing task moves the pole, a paddle game sends you after the ball, and a sushi game has you guide food along a conveyor toward customers.
The collection also includes a balance task aboard a packed train, pottery that asks you to keep a meter within a target range, and a safe-opening memory challenge. Cameltry turns a maze around a moving ball, while golf and hammer throwing apply the wheel to sporting goals. Learning what each rotation controls is part of moving between the different games.
Choose a Game or Take the Challenge
Free Play lets you choose activities individually, while Challenge mode gives the collection a sequence to work through. These are different ways to approach the same set of wheel-controlled games.
Challenge progress depends on passing the minigames, with an ending after all 24 have been cleared. Scores and the pass-or-fail result are separate measures, so chasing a better number and satisfying an activity's success condition do not always amount to the same task.
Cartoon Arcade Play on Two Screens
Cartoon characters and varied settings give each activity its own scene. The action ranges from simple balancing or food-service tasks to more elaborate paddle and fishing games, while the wheel remains on the lower screen.
Most games also offer button controls. GameSpot's original DS review reported that rapid stylus spinning could register unevenly, making this control choice useful to know before settling into repeated attempts.
The presentation uses colorful menus, pixel-based game scenes and repeating music. The focus is on individual arcade tasks and their results, with Challenge completion providing the main single-player goal.
Two-Player Multi-Card Competition
The North American package advertises three competitive gameplay modes and wireless play for one or two players. Connected two-player games require two Nintendo DS systems and one copy of the Game Card per player. This is the Nintendo DS cartridge release.
