Twisted Edge: Extreme Snowboarding
Ride the Mountain Your Way
Twisted Edge: Extreme Snowboarding brings arcade-style downhill racing to Nintendo 64 with a focus on speed, trick timing, and learning the fastest line through each course. Choose from a roster of riders and boards, then tackle seven mountain runs filled with ramps, steep drops, alternate routes, and hazards that reward quick reactions. The handling is approachable, but clean landings and controlled turns matter when the clock is running.
Race, Practice, or Chase a Stunt Score
Competition Mode is the main progression path, asking you to place well across a series of events. Stunt Challenge shifts the emphasis from raw speed to linking aerial moves and building a higher score before time expires. Practice Mode lets you study a course without the pressure of a full competition and includes a ghost of your best run, making it useful for spotting where a cleaner turn or shortcut can save time. Hidden riders, boards, mirrored courses, and alternate paths add reasons to revisit familiar slopes.
Head-to-Head Snowboarding
Two players can compete in split-screen VS. races on the same Nintendo 64. The game supports the Controller Pak for saved progress and the Rumble Pak for feedback during runs. Its exaggerated drops, colorful mountain settings, and quick restarts give it the feel of a late-1990s console sports game built for short sessions as well as repeated course mastery.
