About the Game
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 turns the anime’s airborne clashes into fast 3D arena battles built around movement, positioning and explosive special attacks. Its roster contains more than 160 playable forms drawn from across the Dragon Ball story, letting players recreate famous confrontations or build matchups that never happened in the series. Dragon History presents key battles as scenario-driven fights, while the wider mode selection supports tournaments, survival challenges, team battles, training and one-on-one competition.
Combat & Progression
Fighters can dash freely around large stages, pursue opponents into the air, charge ki and transform when a character supports it. Close-range strings flow into knockbacks, counters and pursuit attacks, while signature beams and rush techniques reward careful energy management. Giant characters change the scale of a match, and more than 30 arenas add terrain, destructible scenery and different times of day. Unlockable fighters, items and alternate forms give the solo modes a steady sense of progression, and Battle Replay can preserve memorable fights for later viewing.
Wii Controls & Current Play
The Wii version supports the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, using gestures for many special moves, and it also supports a Classic Controller for a more traditional layout. Local play supports one or two players on the same console. The game originally included online battles through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, but Nintendo discontinued that service on May 20, 2014, so official online matchmaking is no longer available. The story, tournaments, training and local versus modes remain playable offline from the disc.
