About the Game
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee stages kaiju battles as an arena fighting game built around scale, destruction and recognizable monster abilities. An alien force has seized control of Earth’s monsters, and the selected creature fights through the roster to break that control. The lineup includes Godzilla and other Toho favorites, each distinguished by movement, melee strings, grabs, ranged energy attacks and a powerful Rage move.
Destructible Arenas
Fights take place in broad city and island environments rather than on a flat traditional fighting stage. Buildings can be smashed, lifted or thrown; vehicles and other objects become improvised weapons; and military forces may attack the monsters while the match continues. Health and energy management shape the pace, while knockdowns, blocks, grapples and environmental positioning determine whether a monster can control the arena. The Adventure path unlocks additional monsters, locations and gallery content as players continue.
Solo & Group Battles
Alongside the single-player progression, Versus and Melee modes support local competition with up to four players. One-on-one fights, free-for-all destruction and team formats give the roster room to play differently in a group, and the original GameCube release does not require an online service. Developed by Pipeworks Software and published by Infogrames, this North American Nintendo GameCube edition released in 2002 and is rated T for Teen for Violence. It should not be confused with the separately sold modern remaster: this listing is the original GameCube disc version, faithfully preserving its original roster, visuals, unlock structure and local multiplayer.
