About the Game
007: Nightfire sends James Bond after industrialist Raphael Drake, whose Phoenix International operation hides a plan involving dismantled nuclear weapons. The console campaign moves through more than ten international locations and mixes first-person combat, stealth, gadget work, and vehicle missions into a cinematic Bond adventure created for the sixth-generation consoles.
Missions, Weapons & Gadgets
The twelve-mission campaign gives Bond conventional firearms alongside Q Branch equipment such as a laser watch and X-ray glasses. Objectives regularly encourage more than a direct firefight: security systems, guarded routes, and environmental opportunities reward careful use of gadgets and alternate approaches. Five driving stages place Bond behind the wheel of the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and other vehicles, breaking up the on-foot missions with pursuits and vehicle combat.
Multiplayer
Up to four players can compete offline through local split-screen. The multiplayer suite includes more than ten modes, with free-for-all and team formats, configurable bots, and characters or settings drawn from across the Bond film series. Bots also make the arena modes usable with fewer human players.
GameCube Presentation
The GameCube release supports progressive-scan display and Dolby Pro Logic II audio. Its combination of objective-based solo missions, dedicated driving levels, and flexible local multiplayer makes it a broad Bond package rather than a single-style shooter. Online service is not required for the listed offline campaign or local multiplayer features.
