A Karaoke Game Built for Groups
Karaoke Revolution: Party turns vocal pitch into the central game mechanic. Lyrics and note bars guide each performance while the software scores how closely the singer follows the melody. Difficulty settings change the accuracy required, making the same song approachable for a casual party or demanding enough for repeat attempts at a higher rating. The GameCube release contains 50 songs spanning several decades and styles, with character and venue customization framing each performance.
Solo, Duets and Team Play
Players can sing alone, share a duet, challenge another performer or divide into teams. Party-focused variations use the same pitch tracking in shorter contests, while minigames adapt singing into playful objectives rather than a standard full-song performance. The game supports one to eight local participants, with players rotating through compatible modes rather than requiring eight simultaneous microphones. Progress and performance scores encourage repeat play, but there is no online service or downloadable-song promise for this GameCube edition.
Microphone and Dance-Pad Support
A compatible GameCube microphone is required for vocal play. An optional compatible dance pad enables Sing and Dance mode, combining pitch matching with step prompts. The GameCube version does not use the PlayStation 2 EyeToy feature that appeared in cross-platform descriptions, so that camera claim does not apply here. Harmonix Music Systems developed the game, with Demiurge Studios credited for additional development, and Konami published it in North America on November 8, 2005. It is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+. All multiplayer activity is local.
