Madden NFL 13
About the Game
Madden NFL 13 is an American football simulation based on the 2012 NFL season, featuring exhibition games, multiplayer, and the Connected Careers mode, which combines player and coach career experiences with franchise-style management. The Wii U version includes the same core gameplay additions as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases, including Total Control Passing, improved defensive AI, Connected Careers, and commentary from Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. Unlike the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, the Wii U release does not use Madden NFL 13's new Infinity Engine physics system, instead retaining animation-based player interactions.
Gameplay & Core Systems
The Wii U version instead adds features built around the Wii U GamePad, including touchscreen play calling, pre-snap adjustments, personnel substitutions, the ability to draw offensive and defensive routes directly on the screen, and Detached Mode for playing entirely on the GamePad.
Standout Features
- Madden: The Wii U release is substantially different from the Wii version , which is based on the older-generation Madden design and lacks Connected Careers and the Wii U's HD presentation and GamePad features.
Modes & Ways to Play
It also omits Madden Ultimate Team and Online Team Play.
