New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
About the Game
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe combines two side-scrolling adventures with different rhythms: the journey of New Super Mario Bros. U and the faster, more demanding courses of New Super Luigi U. Running, jumping, collecting coins, and overcoming enemies remain at the center, with character choices and extra modes offering several ways to approach the same platforming skills.
Journey Across the Mushroom Kingdom
Bowser, Bowser Jr., and the Koopalings have taken over Peach's Castle and sent Mario and his friends far from home. The return journey crosses deserts, oceans, swamps, and snowy landscapes. You can take on the adventure alone or share the action locally, working through courses together as you make your way toward the castle.
Characters & Power-Ups
Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette, and Nabbit offer choices suited to different experience levels. Nabbit avoids damage from enemies, while Toadette can become Peachette through the Super Crown. Transformation items and Yoshis give the platforming further variety, helping the heroes move through hazards and reach places that call for more than a standard jump.
Luigi's Faster Challenge
New Super Luigi U asks for a quicker approach to each course. Its tighter time limits and tougher layouts make efficient movement more important, giving familiar actions a different sense of urgency. Switching between the two adventures lets you choose between a broader journey and a concentrated test of platforming skill.
More Ways to Play
Beyond the main adventures, Challenges tests particular skills, Boost Rush turns courses into scrolling races, and Coin Battle adds friendly competition over the gold. Mii characters can take part in these additional modes. Together with the range of playable heroes, those options give the game room for careful solo practice, shared progress, and competitive local sessions.
