About the Game
Angry Birds Trilogy collects three early entries in Rovio’s physics-puzzle series—Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio—on one Wii disc. Each game uses the same clear premise: launch a limited flock from a slingshot, break through structures, and defeat every target before the birds run out. The collection spans hundreds of stages, moving from the original conflict with the pigs to holiday-themed episodes and Rio-inspired rescue missions.
Gameplay & Core Systems
Every bird has a distinct ability. Some split into smaller birds, accelerate in flight, drop explosive eggs, or smash through particular materials more effectively. Success depends on reading the arrangement of wood, glass, stone, ropes, and explosive objects, then choosing a trajectory and activation point that turns one shot into a chain reaction. The Wii Remote controls the slingshot directly, while camera movement and zoom help players inspect larger layouts before committing a bird.
Progression & Replay Value
Clearing all targets completes a stage, but score totals and a three-star rating encourage more efficient solutions. Finishing with unused birds, causing wider destruction, and discovering alternate weak points can substantially improve a result. That scoring layer gives completed stages a reason to be replayed, especially when a level that first required several shots can later be solved with one carefully planned launch.
Presentation & Atmosphere
The trilogy keeps the series’ exaggerated sound effects, expressive characters, and compact visual jokes while adapting the interface for a television screen. Classic provides the core campaign, Seasons changes the scenery and stage ideas around themed episodes, and Rio replaces the pig hunt with movie characters and caged-bird rescues. The result is a broad single-player puzzle collection that is easy to understand immediately but demanding when the goal shifts from simply finishing a stage to earning every star.
