About the Game

Anthem is a shared-world action RPG. Players take on the role of a Freelancer, a member of a group of pilots who wear powerful exosuits called Javelins, to explore a large and dangerous world. The game is set in a lush and dynamic world called Bastion, which is filled with danger, mysteries and ancient ruins. The gameplay is focused on exploring the world with the Javelin exosuits, using the unique abilities of each suit to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies.

Gameplay & Core Systems

A major part of the experience is both single player and multiplayer modes, with players able to team up with friends to complete missions and explore the world together. The main mode is the shared-world experience, where players can explore the game world and undertake missions with up to three other players. The game also includes other multiplayer modes, such as Stronghold missions, which are challenging, high-stakes missions that require teamwork and coordination to complete. Additionally, players can participate in freeplay, an open-world exploration mode where they can fly and fight together with others in a dynamic, shared environment. Another notable element is a variety of weapons and abilities to customize each Javelin with, allowing players to tailor their playstyle to their preference.

One of the distinctive features is its emphasis on co-operative play, with players able to team up with friends to tackle missions and explore the world. Another notable element is a wide variety of challenges and objectives to complete, ranging from combat missions to puzzle-solving challenges.
