Miniature Warfare on the Home Front
Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune brings miniature plastic warfare into household environments as a 3D third-person shooter and spin-off in the long-running Army Men series. Developed by Big Blue Bubble Inc. and published by Zoo Games, Inc., this behind-view action game shrinks down large-scale tactical combat to fit the rooms of an everyday family home.
Timmy's Pint-Sized Campaign
The story centers on a young boy named Timmy, whose toy collection suddenly turns into an active conflict zone when his tan toy soldiers declare war against his green toy soldiers. Rather than watching the miniature chaos unfold from above, Timmy shrinks down to the exact size of his toys, entering the fight firsthand to support his green allies across the home.
Mission Objectives and Combat Loop
The campaign is structured around five dedicated missions where players take direct control of the miniaturized hero. Surviving the hostile rooms requires balancing steady blaster fire with situational objectives, tasking you with disarming threats, rescuing trapped or scattered friendly forces, and pushing back relentless tan squads.
Scavenging and Battlefield Resources
Exploration pays off as you maneuver around furniture, corners, and baseboards throughout each room. Players must scavenge the house for valuable weapon pick-ups and health items tucked away in the environment, replenishing Timmy's arsenal and keeping him in fighting shape against heavy tan resistance.
Armored Ground and Aerial Assaults
Combat extends beyond simple foot patrols. When enemy fortifications or broad battle zones demand extra firepower, Timmy can commandeer miniature vehicles, jumping into tanks, jeeps, and planes to blast hostile soldiers and bypass grounded obstacles.
Wii Control Scheme
Built for the Nintendo Wii hardware, the title utilizes the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller setup to guide movement and third-person targeting during single-player offline missions.
