Return to Berk as a dragon rider
How to Train Your Dragon 2 on Wii is a flight-and-racing adventure set across the Viking island of Berk. Rather than retelling the film scene by scene, it puts the focus on becoming a stronger rider through exploration, training events and tournaments. Players soar above the island, pass through caverns and search for activities while preparing to prove which rider and dragon make the strongest team.
Learn the routes through events and challenges
Training events introduce different demands before the main Dragon tournaments. Hidden challenges are scattered around Berk, encouraging players to leave the direct route and learn the landscape. Races test flight control and route reading, while other events create a broader practice loop before the next tournament. Progress comes from completing that training structure rather than from a touchscreen or menu system borrowed from the separate Nintendo 3DS version.
Find Dragon Tokens and reveal new traits
Dragon Tokens are tied to the different dragons. Collecting them unlocks secret traits, adding a concrete reason to investigate paths and caverns beyond the next race marker. The Dragon Hangar acts as the setup area, where players select a rider and dragon and customize their dragon before returning to the island and its events.
Fly with a friend in split-screen
The exact Wii instruction booklet supports two-player local play. Connecting a second Wii Remote and pressing the + Button divides the screen horizontally. Both players can take part in the same events offered in single-player, and the game also provides multiplayer-specific events. Two Wii Remote controllers are therefore needed for two-player play and are sold separately from a standard software copy.
Wii controls and offline access
Flight is controlled with the Wii Remote, including tilting for directional input. The game does not require an online account or active network service for its single-player or local multiplayer content. The accepted North American release record identifies a Wii optical disc, Torus Games as developer, Little Orbit as publisher and June 10, 2014 as the release date.
Exact physical release details
This listing is the North American Wii edition, identified by UPC 815403010439 and media code RVL-SVZE-USA-B0. It is not the Nintendo 3DS version, so touchscreen maps, top-screen play and other handheld-only features do not apply. The accepted exact-release rating is E10+ for Everyone 10+.
