About the Game
Just Dance 2020 is a motion-controlled dance game built for quick solo sessions and shared play in the living room. The base selection contains 40 routines spanning contemporary pop, dance music and family-oriented novelty tracks. Each routine uses an on-screen coach and pictograms to preview upcoming moves, while the Wii Remote tracks the player’s timing and motion to produce a score.
Modes & Progression
Standard play lets dancers choose a routine and compete for the strongest score. Co-op combines performances into a shared result, shifting the focus from individual ranking to working together. Sweat Mode emphasizes activity tracking and extended sessions, while Kids Mode presents eight routines designed for younger players. All Stars Mode marks the series’ tenth anniversary with a trip through ten themed planets inspired by earlier Just Dance entries; completing the journey unlocks an additional routine. Replaying songs builds familiarity with choreography and gives players clear score targets to improve.
Wii Controls & Local Play
This Wii edition uses one Wii Remote per dancer and supports one to four players locally. It is designed around same-room play and does not require an active network service for its core routines, scoring or local co-op. The colorful presentation, readable coaching and broad difficulty range make it easy to start, while higher scores still depend on matching the timing, direction and energy of each move. Released for Wii in North America on November 5, 2019, it is rated E10+ by the ESRB.
