About the Game
LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game retells the prequel trilogy through brick-built characters, silent pantomime and visual comedy. Chapters cover key events from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, moving from Naboo and Tatooine to Geonosis, Kashyyyk and the fall of the Republic. The GameCube edition preserves the first game’s compact, level-based approach rather than the broader structure of later LEGO Star Wars collections.
Characters, Puzzles & Free Play
Levels combine straightforward combat, platforming and environmental puzzles. Jedi use lightsabers and the Force to assemble or move LEGO objects; droids open specialized doors; blaster characters attack from range; and other heroes bring abilities such as grappling hooks or high jumps. In story play, the available cast matches the scene and the player can switch among nearby characters. Completing a chapter unlocks Free Play, where a larger roster can revisit that level and reach areas that required abilities unavailable during the first run.
Collecting & Local Co-op
LEGO studs act as currency and also fill the level’s collection meter. Minikits, unlockable characters and hidden routes encourage repeat visits, while vehicle stages break up the on-foot action. One player can control the active character and switch through the party, or a second player can join for local cooperative play; no online service is required. Traveller’s Tales developed this version, Giant Interactive Entertainment published it and Eidos distributed the North American GameCube release on October 25, 2005. It is rated E for Everyone and supports progressive-scan output on compatible equipment. This listing is for the original prequel-trilogy game, not LEGO Star Wars II or The Complete Saga.
