Resort Management & Animal Lodging
Paws & Claws: Pet Resort is a 3rd-person pet-care simulation developed by Independent Arts Software GmbH and published by THQ Inc. for the Nintendo Wii. Taking charge of a small animal boarding business, players welcome clients who entrust their companions to the facility, working day in and day out to nurture their guests and expand the modest lodge into a thriving resort.
The facility accommodates 17 different animal types in total, bringing a steady stream of pet owners seeking lodging for pups, kittens, birds, horses, and rodents. Each boarder arrives with distinct needs and tracked stats that dictate daily routines across the estate grounds.
Care Routines, Feeding & Training
Daily management centers on responsive, hands-on pampering. To keep hunger and health balanced, players mix proper foods from healthy ingredients tailored to each animal species. Between feedings, you can engage guests by playing games with their favourite toys, dress them up in various outfits, and teach them tricks that will leave visiting owners amazed when they return.
Town Commerce & Expansion
Running a successful boarding establishment requires regular trips into the city. Visiting urban shops lets you purchase luxury articles for each animal enclosure, essential medicines to treat health conditions, and fresh clothes for your caretaker character. Spending time in town also allows you to learn new and useful things to enhance caretaking efficiency.
Business success translates directly into municipal recognition. As your attentive treatment helps your small enterprise blossom, the city's mayor rewards your ongoing hospitality efforts with special gifts and honours, acknowledging your lodge's rising standing in the community.
Wii Navigation & Play Setup
On the Nintendo Wii release, exploration is fully continuous: the player's character can freely walk around inside the houses in direct third-person view rather than clicking through static screens. Movement and care activities operate across an expansive outside map layout, utilizing the Wii Remote and optional Nunchuk controllers to handle interactions, with offline play supporting 1-2 players.
