RoboCop 3 places Detroit's cyborg police officer against OCP's attempt to clear the city for its Delta City project. As the Rehabs force residents from their homes, RoboCop joins the resistance and fights through streets, underground routes, and guarded facilities. This Super Nintendo adaptation mixes side-scrolling shooting and platform movement with jetpack sections that take the conflict above the city.
On foot, you advance through enemy fire, jump across obstacles, and adjust your aim to cover threats at different heights. Crouching and diagonal shots help deal with enemies without simply standing in their line of fire. Close-range punches provide another way to attack when conserving ammunition matters. Weapons can be switched as you find equipment, and stronger attacks require attention to their remaining supply rather than continuous use.
The pickups have distinct jobs. Energy pods restore RoboCop's health, weapon pickups replenish ammunition, and fuel pickups support the jetpack. Keeping those resources separate is especially useful as the game changes from ground combat to flight. Airborne sections introduce missiles and other threats that demand movement in a different direction from the platform stages, giving the campaign more variety than a continuous march along a street.
The missions build toward confrontations with OCP's forces, including efforts to rescue allies and battles against heavily armed enemies and robots. A time limit adds pressure to each section, while the health, lives, and weapon displays help you judge whether to press forward or take a more careful approach. The industrial settings and armored opposition suit RoboCop's deliberate movement: positioning, controlled fire, and keeping enough resources for the next encounter are central to making progress.
