Super Play Action Football follows American football from a high-school game through college competition and the professional season. Its diagonal view shows the field from above while a radar display helps you track the wider play. Selecting a formation is only the beginning: after the snap, you take control of movement, passing, receiving, and tackling, turning a playbook decision into an active attempt to find space or stop the ball carrier.
The three levels of football have different rules, playbooks, and controls. High-school play provides a simpler starting point. College competition expands the offensive and defensive options, including separate short and long passes, stiff arms, jumping catches, and stronger tackling moves. A beginner option assists with handoffs, laterals, and receiving in eligible single games. Sprinting can create an opening, but fatigued players make it necessary to consider when to spend that burst of speed.
College season play adds a scheduling and ranking challenge. You choose opponents across an eleven-week schedule, with reputation, results, and the strength of your opponents influencing the Top 20. Beating easier teams may build a winning record without earning the same respect as a tougher schedule. Bowl invitations and the final rankings determine the national championship, giving the last games a role beyond simply adding another victory.
Professional play uses the game's NFL teams and follows a regular-season route toward the playoffs and Super Bowl. Local head-to-head play offers a direct contest between two players, while solo play lets you work through the different competition formats against the computer. The combination of field action and season decisions makes the game useful for both a quick matchup and a longer attempt to guide a team through its schedule.
