Five sports built around simple motion
Wii Sports collects Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf and Boxing in a single local-play package starring your Miis. Each event turns a familiar sports action into a short motion-controlled game: swing the Remote like a racket or bat, roll it like a bowling ball, make a measured golf swing, or pair it with a Nunchuk to box.
Different rules, not one repeated minigame
Tennis handles movement automatically so players can focus on timing and shot direction. Baseball divides play into batting and pitching while the fielders and runners act automatically. Bowling plays a full ten frames and lets you adjust position and angle before releasing the ball. Golf asks you to choose a club, account for wind and control swing strength. Boxing tracks punches and defensive movement through the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
Track skill and train with purpose
Each Mii keeps records and a separate skill level for the five sports. Results can raise or lower that rating; reaching 1,000 points marks the Mii as a Pro in that sport. Training mode supplies three drills per sport and awards medals for stronger performances. The once-per-day Fitness Test selects three training drills and measures balance, stamina and speed to calculate a Wii Fitness Age.
Flexible local multiplayer
Tennis supports one to four players and requires a Wii Remote for each participant. Baseball supports one or two players with one Remote each. Bowling and Golf support up to four people and allow the group to pass one Remote between turns. Boxing supports one or two players; each boxer needs both a Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
Miis keep the presentation personal
Player-created Miis compete against familiar faces from the console, appear in the crowd and carry their records from session to session. Clean score displays and immediate demonstrations keep the rules approachable, while stronger opponents and rising skill ratings give repeat players a longer target.
Nintendo Selects edition and current play
This North American listing includes a Complete in Box variant identified as the Nintendo Selects edition. The game requires a Wii console, Wii Remote and Sensor Bar; Boxing additionally requires a Nunchuk, and simultaneous players need the controllers described above. Accessories are not promised with a particular condition unless the listing explicitly says so.
Wii Sports is an offline local game and does not require an online account or active Nintendo service. The exact Wii release is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB for Mild Violence.
