Portable All-Terrain Racing and Airborne Stunts
ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails delivers portable off-road racing on the PSP with 24 selectable ATVs that can be used during the game. Riders navigate six distinct surface environments, racing across snow, dirt, ice, mud, water, and grassy fields. Each setting presents unique traction challenges and topography. While launching off ramps and natural elevations, players can execute over 34 freestyle tricks, rewarding precise timing and mid-air control before landing smoothly back on the dirt.
Race Modes and Garage Career Tracking
The title incorporates standard game modes: Practice, Lap Attack, Single Race, Championship Mode, Free Riding Mode, and a Multiplayer mode. Competitors can jump into a quick standalone showdown in Single Race, refine handling without pressure in Practice, chase personal bests against the clock in Lap Attack, tackle longer structured circuits in Championship Mode, or explore tracks casually in Free Riding Mode. A dedicated Garage Mode lets players keep track of their career stats across their off-road journey, providing an organized hub to review racing achievements and evaluate overall progress.
Mechanical Tuning, Customization, and Ad Hoc Card Trading
Quad setups can be tuned directly to handle rough surfaces by changing tires and gear ratios, letting drivers optimize their machine's acceleration or grip for muddy, snowy, or icy courses. Beyond functional adjustments, visual customization options allow racers to personalize their ATVs as well as their rider to stand out on the track. Career progression features a trading card system, where players unlock new ATVs as well as new racing gear as they complete events. Multiplayer allows competitors to face each other head-to-head using Ad Hoc wireless connectivity. In addition to direct racing clashes, players can also use Ad Hoc to trade unlocked card rewards with each other, sharing new ATVs and racing gear directly between handheld systems.
