NBA Jam brings arcade basketball back to the Wii with two-on-two games, official NBA teams and recognizable rosters. Rules are streamlined for fast possessions, emphatic steals and exaggerated leaps to the rim. Dunks can send players soaring above the basket, a hot streak can turn a shooter into a scoring machine, and the most forceful finishes can shatter the backboard. Tim Kitzrow's rapid-fire commentary completes the classic arcade tone.

Climb the Classic Campaign

Classic Campaign can be played solo or cooperatively on the same Wii. The goal is a worst-to-first run through NBA opponents, winning games and opening additional teams, characters and rewards along the way. Local partners can complete the campaign together, so the progression is not limited to a single-player profile.

Remix the rules with new challenges

Remix Tour changes the structure with boss battles and half-court challenges. Domination rewards control of scoring zones, while Smash turns the basket itself into the target. JAM Challenges and unlockable characters add more objectives beyond simply completing a standard match, giving repeat sessions reasons to vary teams and modes.

Built for the couch, not an online promise

The Wii version supports up to four local players for competitive and team play. It does not include the online play promoted for the later Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, so this listing makes no current network-service claim. The documented modes remain local and playable without a server connection.

Wii controls and presentation

Players can use the Wii Remote with Nunchuk or a Classic Controller. The saved technical record also supports widescreen output and Dolby Pro Logic II audio. The North American release is rated Everyone with no content descriptors.
