A new grid whenever you want one
Sudoku Fever turns the familiar logic puzzle into a Game Boy Advance cartridge with a continuing supply of puzzles and difficulty choices ranging from beginner to expert. The classic board asks you to complete each row, column and box with the digits 1–9. Its number grid keeps the focus on filling the empty spaces while working around the clues already on the board.
Pick the size of your puzzle
Choose Sudoku Classic, Eight, Mini or Junior to change the grid you are solving. The four sizes are 9×9, 8×8, 6×6 and 4×4, so you can select a smaller board or return to the full classic layout. Variable difficulty settings give you another choice about the puzzle you want to tackle.
The publisher also provides alternatives to the usual numbered board: use letters or colored symbols, and choose from themed backgrounds. These options change the board's appearance while retaining the puzzle format. They sit alongside the different grid sizes, letting you vary what is on screen without needing a different cartridge.
Use assistance at your own pace
The in-game menu gives you several kinds of help. Reveal the value for the selected square when you need a hint, or solve the whole grid if you want to see the answer. Pencil Marks shows possible numbers for the highlighted space. Error Highlight can flag a misplaced entry when its error can be worked out from the puzzle, offering a way to check your reasoning as you play.
On the displayed boards, A selects and B deletes, with Start opening the menu. The screen also shows a used-count panel and a Pencil Marks area beside the grid, keeping those aids close to the puzzle itself.
Bring a printed puzzle into Solver
Sudoku Solver is intended as a companion for puzzles from newspapers, books and other sources. Enter your own puzzle rather than choosing one supplied by the game, then use the solver to find an answer. This gives the cartridge a second purpose alongside its built-in puzzle modes.
Leave a grid unfinished and return later
An unfinished puzzle can be saved and resumed after the game has been turned off. You can also change the background behind the board. The play area remains a clearly defined grid with the controls and optional assistance arranged around it, suited to working through a puzzle across more than one sitting.
