About the Game
Super Mario All-Stars gathers four of Mario's early platforming adventures in their Super Nintendo-style forms. Super Mario Bros., The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3 share an emphasis on movement and discovery, but each develops that foundation in a different direction. The collection lets you switch between straightforward obstacle courses, tougher variations, unusual character abilities, and a journey shaped by an expanding range of power-ups.
Super Mario Bros. & The Lost Levels
The original Super Mario Bros. follows Mario's rescue of Princess Peach through the Mushroom Kingdom. Running, jumping, swimming, and finding useful items create the rhythm of its stages. The Lost Levels increases the challenge through trickier layouts and hazards, including the poison mushroom. Its choice between Mario and Luigi also changes how jumps feel: Luigi can reach higher, while Mario offers steadier movement.
Super Mario Bros. 2
This adventure changes both the cast and the way you deal with enemies. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad have different strengths, encouraging you to choose a character for the situation ahead. Picking up vegetables, enemies, and other objects gives combat and puzzle-solving a different texture from simply jumping on an opponent. Peach's floating ability and Luigi's distinctive jump create their own routes through a stage.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Mario and Luigi travel through the Mushroom World to recover stolen royal wands and confront the Koopalings. Power-ups broaden the action, with forms such as Raccoon Mario, Frog Mario, and Tanooki Mario changing how you move or handle hazards. The adventure also offers alternating play and a separate Battle Game for local competition.
Progress & Replay
The collection's save options make it easier to return to a journey, although the progress recorded differs between games. Revisiting cleared areas, practicing difficult routes, and learning what each character or power-up can do give the four adventures lasting variety without losing their direct, readable platforming style.
