Radiata Stories follows Jack Russell, an aspiring knight whose ambitions are larger than his experience. His journey leads from the kingdom's military into a wider world of guilds, competing loyalties and conflict between humans and other peoples. The adventure mixes comic character moments with a story that eventually asks Jack to make choices with lasting consequences.
Radiata's residents have daily routines, giving the city a sense of life beyond the main quest. Finding someone at the right time, learning what they need and helping them can open the way to recruiting new allies. Exploring the streets and paying attention to individual characters becomes part of building a party rather than simply moving between story objectives.
Combat takes place in real time. Control Jack directly, choose how to approach an enemy and make use of the companions you have recruited. Party composition gives you different support options, while the game's branching story encourages attention to the people and factions around you.
For players who like character-driven role-playing games, much of the appeal lies in seeing how an ordinary day in the city connects to the larger adventure. Conversations, schedules and side activities give the setting room to develop between major battles.
