Supercross 2000
Supercross 2000 puts the Nintendo 64 player into licensed stadium motorcycle racing with an EA Sports presentation. Its roster features 24 Supercross and freestyle riders, and the courses mix stadium competition with motocross terrain. Races emphasize throttle control, jump timing and maintaining momentum through crowded corners rather than treating every straightaway as a simple sprint as surfaces and rhythms change.
The main menu offers Quick Race, Single Race, Season, Practice and Freestyle play. A Season links events into a points campaign, while Practice gives room to learn track layouts and bike response. Freestyle shifts the objective from finishing position to airborne technique: combinations, landing control and the value of individual tricks determine the score. Multiple camera views and a dedicated high-resolution display option help tailor the presentation.
Single Race and Freestyle can be played by two people in split screen. Before an event, players can choose a rider and adjust available settings, then compete directly or chase a better stunt score. The manual also documents bike setup and race options that let players tune the experience instead of relying on one fixed configuration.
A standard Nintendo 64 Controller is sufficient to play. A Controller Pak is needed to save season progress and other stored data, while the Rumble Pak is supported for feedback. The optional Expansion Pak enables the game’s high-resolution graphics mode; it is not required for ordinary play. The result is a focused mix of licensed racing, season progression and freestyle competition rather than a generic all-terrain driving game.
